Wow! What a week! In the last week I flew from Seattle
to Minneapolis
, drove to the Mall of America and St. Paul to visit Dorothy and crew at US Bancorp, flew to Chicago, drove to Lawton to visit new friends at the Lily Brook Center, drove to Kalamazoo to visit Kevin Munson and Pfizer, drove back to Chicago, flew to Reagan National in DC, drove to Fairfax, VA, visited Frank at Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, VA, Keith at BAE Systems in Rockville, MD and Linda in Alexandria, VA at ASTD. We had a wonderful dinner with friends in Crystal
City
. Then it was back to McLean
,
VA
to visit Cathie and Sardek. I rushed to the airport and hopped a flight from Reagan to JFK and took the AirTrain and subway to Manhatten. I stayed in the very amazing Gaasnevort Hotel in the revitalized meat packing district. Relaxing for a moment on the rooftop pool, I was treated one of my top 10 sunsets with the New York
skyline. I woke up the next day and facilitated a great program with our new client, Sourced Solutions. They very much appreciated our unique geoteaming event and win the award for one of the coolest company awards with a recycle engraved belt buckle that said “Buckle Up”, a theme that we created for their event! Just when you think I might be tired or done, I recovered from bottle service on the roof and joined my friend Julia to a trip to Atlantic City
. We went to check out Cirque Dreams for an upcoming client event. It was an amazing Cirque show highlighted for 4 Asian woman with unbelievable flexibility. We snacked on the Boardwalk, walked on the beach and Julia learned poker chops as she destroyed me and the entire table with a full house and pocket Queens in her hand against my pocket 7’s! Congrats Julia. Am I done yet? No, I believe life is a series of windows of opportunity that we have choices to take advantage of or not. We found out Madonna was in town and took our poker winnings to hunt for tickets. Earlier in the day, we were quoted $900 for a pair of tickets, wow! We set a goal of $200 for both of us and on our 2nd person, we found someone who would take $230 for 2 tickets, worth over $500!!! Julia tested the ticket, they were good and we were seeing Madonna! There was a serious buzz in the room as everybody was excited to see Madonna and so were we! Julia was in pure amazement of our powers of creation and luck which just added to the mass crowd excitement for Madonna’s first visit to Atlantic City
. Even at 48, Madonna did not fail to disappoint, her show was simply amazing, Madonna is still sexy as hell and she knows how to put on a mind blowing show including risqué factors like horse play, a steel crucifix, and government leader footage. I’m on my final leg home after staying up all night and I want to thank everyone for such an amazing adventure and trip. I think I’m going to enter a Road Warrior Contest as this trip definitely qualifies as one of the most astounding road trips I’ve taken. I’ve always said it’s about the Journey and I continue to enjoy the ride that PLAYTIME Inc. takes me on.
